Each person who attends a Camp Gitchigomee event gets a handpainted "log". These are usually strung together and worn around the neck to show one's colourful history at Camp G. Yes, "Handpainted", that is, painted by hand! On May 1/06 a group gathered to spend several hours painting the various logs needed for this summer.
